Two Amazing Women…

Jessica Vasso’s 12th Birthday was nearing and she decided that she did not want gifts. In lieu of gifts, she decided to have her friends make a donation to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. I am impressed by Jessica’s maturity and willingness to pass up gifts and make such an incredibly generous donation. Jessica is to be commended on her $525 donation to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Kudos to you Jessica!
On May 19th, my mom Gwen Guthrie hosted a bridal shower for Ky Lauder. Like Jessica, Ky decided to have donations go to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in lieu of gifts. Here it is, one of the most exciting times of Ky’s life when she is celebrating her upcoming nuptials, and she was thinking of those touched by cancer. Ky’s donation to Making Strides totaled $1.220! Ky, thank you for your generosity!
I am impressed and touched by the kindness of these women and their donations to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. It is from donations such as Jessica’s and Ky’s that the American Cancer Society is able to fund RESEARCH, EDUCATE the public of cancer prevention, screening, and treatment, support necessary ADVOCACY and offer SUPPORT to individuals and their families who have been touched by cancer.
