A 2007 PINK Lemonade Stand and the Mullane Family!

It was a Sunday night in May 2007 when our doorbell rang and it was our neighbors The Mullanes. Caroline a 6th grader and her sister Jessica a 1st grader, were all smiles! They carried in a large coffee can decorated with pink ribbons. They proceeded to tell our family that they along with a few of their soccer buddies decided to surprise us with a special donation for TEAM SUE HARMON. At both of their soccer games, they set up a lemonade stand, of course selling PINK lemonade. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon with sunny skies and warm temperatures…and everyone that day was THIRSTY! Caroline, Jessica and their friends told all of their customers that they were raising money to help FIND A CURE for cancer in support of TEAM SUE HARMON. The girls could not wait for us to open the coffee can, when Jessica shouted out, “There’s $80 in there to help cure cancer!” What more can I say!? These girls “GET IT!” I am truly grateful for Caroline, Jessica, their friends but especially for Kenny and Dot Mullane for facilitating such an incredible act of kindness. My heart is singing and I am so proud of these young ladies! There is KINDNESS in this world. Thanks again girls, you should be very proud of your generosity and donation to TEAM SUE HARMON! LOVE YOU!
