Who is TEAM SUE HARMON?
Team Sue Harmon is a group of individuals who are dedicated to supporting those who have been touched by cancer. Family, Friends, neighbors, colleagues, students, supporters, donors, survivors, and acquaintances….All are welcome to join and support those who have heard those terrifying words, “You have cancer.”
Founded and chaired by its namesake, Team Sue Harmon is a national leader in fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Perhaps the most significant achievement of Team Sue Harmon, after its fundraising efforts, is the outreach and networking that its team members perform. While the team does its fundraising for breast cancer research, support and outreach, this group is not exclusively focused on breast cancer. Whether a young woman with a question about a biopsy, a friend with a loved one battling the disease, or neighborhood kids looking to help and make a difference in their community, Team Sue Harmon is there to offer an ear, a shoulder to cry on or a connection to an American Cancer Society program.
Celebrating its tenth year of Sue’s survivorship in 2008, Team Sue Harmon is challenging itself to raise $10,000 for each year since Sue’s diagnosis: a total of $100,000 towards this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, October 19, 2008 at Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY.
